Taking on the NoFizzUSA Challenge was an easy decision for me. My father recently had quadruple bypass surgery after suffering a mild heart attack. He wasn’t overweight, he didn’t eat terribly badly, he doesn’t drink or smoke, and he has played golf once a week religiously for more than 20 years. His health problems in spite of all of that really made me open my eyes and take a look at my own nutritional habits.

Growing up I had always assumed if you were going to drink a soda, it should be a diet one. I developed a craving for Diet Coke and was known to have several every day. I wasn’t aware of how unhealthy they were for me – which is odd considering the amount of information you can find online if you just do a little research. Since giving up soda with NoFizz America, I sleep better at night, I have more energy throughout the day and I have been inspired to eat as healthy as possible. After all, why stop at just soda, right?!

I was really surprised at how quickly the NoFizzUSA challenge spread across Twitter and other social media platforms. Within a matter of minutes a large number of people were not only talking about it but accepting the challenge. The NoFizzUSA stuff seemed to be everywhere!

NoFizz America has been a great source of knowledge for NoFizzUSA. Information on the effects of high fructose corn syrup, carbonated beverages and more can now be seen in one easy to find place on the web! They’ve also been great at suggesting a bunch of healthy alternatives for those of us that get tired of only drinking plain water each day.

I hope to continue with NoFizzUSA well beyond the challenge period, and help raise awareness on the dangers of soda, so others can become as healthy as possible!!!
