Every day of our 30-day no-soda challenge, we’re going to send out some quick tips and information on ways to avoid soda, what to do once you’ve avoided it, alternatives to drink in its place, and more. Use these tips for motivation on how, and why, you should avoid soda! For more information on the challenge, or if you’re just beginning, click here. It’s not too late to join! We’d love to have you start at any point!
You made it! Today is day 30 of our 30-day no-soda challenge. At midnight tonight, you are able to have soda again, but hopefully, you will have learned something in the meantime and are more willing to moderate your intake as you move forward!
Our next move forward is a big one. We have plenty of things in the works, which we’ll update you on throughout the next few weeks, including school outreach programs, events in the community, and much, much more.
We’re also doing a challenge with The Chic Life, beginning on September 1st, that deals with hydration and will be similar in scope to NoFizzUSA – but we’ll give you more details about that one as the day gets closer and we start gearing up for it!

In the meantime, come out to our celebration tomorrow night at Dilworth Billiards (300 East Tremont Avenue, Charlotte, NC) at 7:00 pm. We’d love to see you, get to know all of our participants, and enjoy some time together! RSVP here (it’s free!) for entrance to the party on Friday night! Can’t wait to see you there!
In Focus: We’ll leave you with a new study from UCLA, which found that pancreatic cancer cells use fructose to grow and multiply.
The study, conducted by scientists at UCLA, found that pancreatic cancer cells grew faster when “fed” with fructose. Study author Dr. Anthony Heaney, associate professor of medicine and neurosurgery at the university’s cancer center, said it was likely that fructose would also speed the growth of other cancers as well.
